As the SLEC project is a piece of the puzzle in addressing environmental issues related to the energy and climate transition, it is essential to have a diagnostic focused on these two areas. In this spirit, the SLEC project has planned a socio-energy diagnostic for the eight municipalities that will host the eight SLECs in the TTAH region, with the aim of identifying the various energy and climate challenges linked to each territory and outlining a roadmap for each SLEC based on the specific characteristics of its host municipality.
This mission is being carried out by GERES, an international development NGO working to improve living conditions and combat climate change and its impacts. Mandated by the Sud Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region, GERES began its assignment at the end of January 2023 by holding initial planning meetings with members of the municipal councils hosting the SLECs, as well as focus groups to collect the data forming the backbone of this diagnostic, in a participatory approach.
